Stuart Preston- Director/BE (Civil), CPEng
Stuart carries out and oversees, the structural design and construction observation of concrete, steel and timber structures. Project scale typically varies between medium to large commercial structural design to smaller commercial and residential projects. He has also carried out many detailed engineering seismic evaluations and seismic strengthening designs.
Hugh Falkner - Director
Hugh has over 20 years’ experience in domestic and commercial structural design. Having worked for Bruce Smith, Chapman and Amos Consulting Engineers Ltd, De Terte and Kerr-Hislop Consulting Engineers Ltd, Homes Consulting Engineers Ltd, British Rail Network South East (Bridge Division) and Beca Consulting Ltd.
David Blair - NZCE (Civil)
David has been in the Engineering field since 1993. He began training as a structural draftsman with Spencer Holmes while completing his tertiary Engineering qualifications at Wellington Polytechnic. He worked on jobs such as Canopies and Shops for BP service stations. He was the first to use AutoCAD in the office, and developed many efficient customisations. He works mainly on residential housing projects in both structural design & construction monitoring aspects.
Shannon OLeary - Structural Designer
Shannon joined the team at Certa in 2015.
James Chee - BE (Civil)
James joined the team as a summer intern which turned into a full time position once graduating from Auckland University.
Tamati Thorpe-Parker - NZDE
Tamati joined the team at Certa in 2016.
Sally Smith - NZDE
Sally joined the Certa team in Mid 2017.
Jared Waller - BE Hons (Civil)
Jared joined the Certa team in 2020.
Wayne Tseng - BE (Civil)
Wayne joined the Certa team in 2019.
Geert van de Vorstenbosch - BE (Civil) Hons, CPEng, CMEngNZ, IntPE(NZ)/APEC Engineer
Geert works primarily from our Kapiti office, where he undertakes designs, carries out site inspections, prepares fee proposals and collaborates with local architects and designers. Geert’s particular area of interest is seismic assessment and strengthening and has worked on several low and medium-rise buildings. Geert has established a lot of close working relationships with both designers and contractors throughout the Wellington region.
Geert enjoys reading, tramping and walking the dog in his spare time.
